REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 5:00 P.M. (EASTERN) ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2010. THIS WILL GIVE ME ENOUGH TIME TO ORDER AND RECEIVE MAPS. The 2nd Mandatory Gear Adventure Race will be held January 30, 2010 in Conway, SC. Disciplines are mountain biking, trekking, and orienteering. The course is set to be doable in 15 hours with mandatory points in the various disciplines, and many optional points to assist with time management. Excellent navigation skills will be premium as pace count, staying on your azimuth, and catching points will be key since the course is flat with no discernible terrain features. Free gym style camping will be available the evening before and has restrooms, water, and a stove and microwave for any cooking needs.
