The first event in the 2008 Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series is the Big Chill Adventure Race this weekend in Bastrop Texas.

Too Cool Adventure Racing has put together a challenging course featuring river paddling, ropes and special tests in addition to the standard trekking and mountain biking.

Look for the Werewolves of Austin and Oasis to push hard for a strong finish. Both teams made it into the top 10 of the 2007 USARA Rankings and are no doubt looking to remain competitive in 2008.
